Context

Mission :

• to reproduce and escalate bugs to Engineering team in Vancouver,

• to help design a laboratory infrastructure in order to ease support activity.

Achievements :

• Kept a reasonable backlog under control, with around hundred new cases per week,

• Co-designed, implemented, documented and maintained the laboratory architecture.

Context:

Through the merger with NPS, Lucent acquired the former Major Account Support Group of Ascend Communication, state-of-the-art network support team all across EMEA.

Mission :

• to provide Lucent's major customers in EMEA with the best Network technical support,

• to provide Lucent's Network Support Engineers with Tier 3 Product Support

• to continually learn and develop to provide leading-edge support services,

• to provide informal training and knowledge sharing with collegues and pre-sales contacts,

• to re-design and secure the global investigation laboratory.

Achievements :

• two years of support as a sole point of contact for several prestigious Major Accounts (Deutsch Telekom, KPN, WorldCom...),

• developed strong troubleshooting and customer communication skills for both on-site and remote operations,

• To monitor, support and maintain operational architecture,

• To design on-demand customer-level services with marketing force

Achievements :

• NOC security architecture revision,

• AAA architecture, logging and network management facilities setup,

• Name Server, Mail system and co-hosting Web Server administration.

Apr '97 – Feb '99 EUROSPORT, Paris, France

Network & System Engineer

Mission :

Design, setup, management and maintenance of the company's WAN infrastructure including network transport, applicative software and security architecture. Eurosport is a pan-European TV channel dedicated to sports.

Achievements :

• Brought up the Intranet infrastructure using ISDN technology with Cisco routers.

• Setup Intranet Software facility covering all European company sites (MS/Exchange e-mail, MS/SMS, distributed database access...)

• Migrated from ISDN to frame-relay technology, participated in the choice of the telco

• Provided local Internet access to all company sites, including domain delegation, local Internet services (mail delivery...)

• Securely distributed and centrally administered system setup and evolution.
